Arboricultural Impact Assessments for Development Applications (DA)
An arboricultural impact assessment is an evaluation providing tree removal, retention and protection advice. The assessment looks at how a construction project might affect nearby trees. We can assist during the design phase of a project or following, provided that survey plans showing tree locations can be provides. Most local councils will require an Arboricultural Impact Assessment as part of most development projects.
An arboricultural impact assessment is a common arborist tree report that outlines tree protection zones and tree protection guidelines on development sites.
Tree Health and Condition Assessment
A health assessment evaluates the well-being of trees by examining factors such as disease, pests, structure, and vitality. This evaluation helps determine the overall health of the trees and guides decisions on how to manage them. You can conduct this assessment on large development sites as well as small residential properties. Starting with a visual tree assessment is often the best approach.
We can provide this as verbal advice on site or as a part of larger report depending on the needs of your project.
Risk Assessments
A systematic evaluation conducted to identify and analyse potential hazards associated with trees. Arborist reports and risk assessments are important for tree care. Only arborists with a minimum AQF level 5 should conduct risk assessment tree reports or hazard assessments.
To determine a tree's level of risk it is assessed for structural weaknesses, disease, or proximity to structures and people. These factors inform our recommendations for appropriate management measures to mitigate those risks. We use the Quantified Tree Risk Assessment (QTRA) methodology and have two registered QTRA assessors as part of our team. Experience and knowledge of how to perform risk assessments is important when choosing a qualified consulting arborist.
Pest and Disease Diagnosis and Treatment
Diagnosing and managing pests and diseases is crucial to safe, healthy and thriving trees. AQF level 5 arborists conduct through investigations to identify the symptoms of pests and disease. After conducting the initial investigation, we can assess the severity of any damage and overall health of the tree. Through monitoring and a quality management plans, our team can help tree owners feel confident in their trees' health and structural integrity.
Tree Surveys & Audits
An arboricultural audit is a detailed tree management plan for a specific area like a park, housing community, or campus.
During an audit, we document tree details like tree species, size, health, and maintenance history, while also evaluating management practices, risks, and compliance
The audit aims to give valuable insights into the current tree population, pinpoint potential issues or areas needing improvement, and create strategies for managing and preserving trees effectively
